Wendy Niblock is a freelance Arts Marketer. Her #TakeASeat has been inspired by Hope Dickson Leach, Jackie Wylie and Philip Howard's, Ghost Light. It made her realise how much she was #MissingLivePerformance and she can't wait until theatre doors are open once again.
Her first memory of theatre was at the Citizens in the 70s. This was the beginning of her love affair with theatre and she remembers sitting in the upper circle with her schoolmates thinking that she would work there one day. In 1981, her dream came true when she started working Front of House under the tutelage of the formidable and wonderful Mary Sweeney. She's never looked back since then!
The last show she saw before Lockdown was Ros Sydney's, The Secret Garden. She watched it in a packed auditorium of schoolchildren - after watching the performance, she wondered if any of them had found that spark of inspiration, as she had decades earlier, to pursue a career in the arts.
